The entrance to the historic centre of Trenčín is littered with advertisements and billboards. There are about 65 billboards on the two-kilometer road between the city's Opatová district and the city of Trenčín, most of which are illegally placed on the properties next to the road. The city of Trenčín is trying to fight this problem and is inspired by neighboring Dubnica nad Váhom. However, destroying an old billboard is more difficult than erecting a new advertisement without permission.
